How to watch Apple's WWDC 2022 event

Better rest and relax now while you can. Another big Apple news dump is just a few days away.

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference is back again, as the company officially confirmedlast week. The big keynote address, where all the major announcements are made, is set to air on Monday, June 6 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. As usual, watching the event couldn’t be easier.

The first and easiest option is to just go to the Apple Eventswebsite, where it will be streamed live on Monday. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, it’s also available on Apple’s YouTubechannel. If, for some reason, neither of those work for you, the Apple TV appwill also carry the keynote address, so you can easily use that to watch it on the biggest screen in your house if you want.

As a reminder, WWDC is a software-focused event for developers (duh, that part’s right in the name), so don’t go in expecting to hear about a new iPhone. Sure, every now and then a tech company surprises us with hardware reveals, like Google dropping approximately 900 hardware announcements at the end of its recent I/O keynote, but we expect Apple to mostly stick to things you do with devices rather than devices themselves.

In other words, expect to hear more about the next versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, WatchOS, and maybe even the software environment powering the heavily rumored upcoming mixed-reality headset Apple is reportedly working on. Apple may not want inon the “metaverse” as defined by Mark Zuckerberg, but don’t be shocked to see little 3D guys running around in virtual hangout spaces.
